The 2011 racing season is fast approaching. Team SE is excited to have several new Team SE drivers and several Team SE customers buying new cars. We are looking forward to the shared information from all of the teams.
We will be heading to Florida in 2 weeks with UNOH racing at Volusia County Speedway. I will be driving for the university in one of my cars owned by Steve Adams of Van Wert, Ohio. Steve is my new partner for the 2011 racing season. Dennis Lowe had to sell out due to health reasons and looking toward retirement. We had several good years together and won many races and championships. Dennis is excited for me having someone to take over and help my racing program. Me and Steve are looking forward to going to Florida and the upcoming season. Mike Fahl is still my crew chief and has been working his tail off to get ready for Florida.
Good luck everyone and good luck in the 2011 racing season.

You know its not a very good year for me. We have had several set backs this year. Funny thing is I havent turned a lap in my brand new Team SE chassis yet! Furthermore Its not going to happen this year. I have to have ACL Replacement surgury and a torn meniscus tear in the Rt knee fixed. So keep me in your prayer. And have a good season,
Roger Murray # 2m
p.s. Dont play frisbee golf it get rough lol
I Know about this time of year the track gets dry slick pretty slick. I also know you usually use a higher gear ratio to use your engine as a brake, but this is also the time of year the track starts to not dry out as fast. So the i pose this question.... would you put in a 583 gear now or a 567 gear for a quarter mile dirt race track?
Lonnie McIntyre and Bill Lewis battled for the lead the first half of the race until Bill took the lead while Tony Anderson and Derick Losh were in hot pursuit. Derick Losh would come out on top with Tony Anderson 2nd Bill Lewis 3rd who had to be pushed of the track with mechanical failures. There were alot of torn up race cars including me. Hope they can get the track straightened up. Harold has been doing a good job the track is definetly smooth but cannot get it to hold moisture. It is a dust bowl and everyone runs over the tires in the infield looking for the shortest way around the track. He tried to water it before the a main and turned it into a slime pit. The track was not ready to be raced on. Five laps later it turned into a dust bowl again.
I have not raced at Butler this year myself but getting reports that it has been really dry slick. I have alot of Team SE Cars and customers that run there well. Tommy Beezley won driving the Tarlton Family racing car owned by Milt Tarlton. They struggled last week and came to my shop Saturday morning and welded a few pieces in and changed the set up completely and must have found something. They said they were fast and so did the competition. Josh Lolmaugh ran 4th, Ryan Cripe 7th, Michael Tarlton ran 9th, Terry Stratton 11th and Kevan Free 13th. It was Michael's first time out this season.
Good job guys.
Team SE customers swept the top 3 spots Friday night at Gas City with Zeke McKenzie picking up yet another win this season. Tommy Beezley 2nd and Ryan Cripe running a strong 3rd.
Congratulations guys and good luck racing.
Bill Lewis picked up his forth straight win at Union County Speedway Friday night. He has his new Team SE 4 Bar Car hooked up and flying. Car owner Gary Wissler called me Friday night on the way home from Limaland with the good news. He is figuring out how to make the right adjustments and putting Bill in postion to finish up front in every race that he has been in.
A lot of racing action at Limaland with 2 features on the schedule and the stands packed. It looked to be an exciting night of racing.
In the 1st feature (make-up feature from rainout 2 weeks ago) Casey Luedeke and Tony Anderson battled for the top spot while Sherman and Hull from the 12th and the 15th starting spots battled to get to the front. Meanwhile Andy Bibler ran a strong 3rd until he experience ignition problems but held on for 4th. Casey Luedeke brought home another win for Team in his SE 3link car. Tony Anderson was 2nd, John Brooks 3rd, Andy Bibler 4th, Sherman 5th, Terry Hull 6th.
In the 2nd feature Todd Sherman was able to hold off Terry Hull for his 3rd win of the year at Limaland. Terry Hull 2nd, Brian Post 3rd and Tony Anderson 4th. Terry and Todd keep swapping the point lead. Looks like it is going to be another close battle to the end with Casey Luedeke not far behind.
Good job Team SE cars and drivers.
Congratulations going out to Josh Lolmaugh and team on picking up a win in their new Team SE 4Bar at Bultler Battlegrounds. Way to git-r-done Josh! Good luck with the 2010 racing season.
Congratulations going out to Bill Lewis and Wissler Racing on their second feature win at Union County Speedway. Way to go! and good luck racing this summer.
Team SE customers and chassis had a great weekend.
Friday night at Limaland Casey Luedeke took home the $1500 Memorial Cup Victory. His first win at Limaland. Good job Casey and crew. They have been running Team SE 3 Link Suspension and I switched to 4 Bar and ran 2nd to him. It has me scratching my (bald) head. Terry Hull ran 3rd from 5th row starting spot.
Friday night at Gas City I-69 speedway 2 Team SE Customer went 1st and 2nd Zeke McKenzie and Ryan Cripe (Team Cars) which Sherman Enterprises has put front clips on both cars. Way to go Zeke and Ryan.
Friday night at Union County Speedway Bill Lewis put his new Team SE 4 Bar car in the winners circle. His first win for the 2010 season and followed it up with a 2nd at Montpelier Saturday night and a 2nd at Kokomo on Sunday night. Great races fun to watch Bill gave them a run for the money. Congratulations Team Wissler Motorsports and Lets Be Friends!
Saturday at Montpelier Team SE Customer Scott Orr picked up the A Main win with Lewis second and Sherman 4th.
Saturday night at Butler Battlegrounds Team SE Customers and chassis went 1 2 3. Kevin Free in his Lazer picked up yet another win. Tommy Beezley in the Tarlton Racing Machine ran 2nd with Josh Lolmaugh running 3rd in his new Team SE 4 Bar Car. Good Job Guys.
Please contact us with your wins. We dont want to leave anybody out. We dont always get all the racing results.
Good job everyone and good luck this weekend.
TODD SHERMAN WINS AT MONTPELIER MOTOR SPEEDWAY
Was able to pick up my 2nd win a Limaland 3rd win of the season. It was a great race and good battle up front. Good job to all Team SE customers. Complete Limaland results below.
Butch Schroeder dominates NRA Sprint Invaders “Run For the Rabbit” The Annual Run for Rabbit race is one of Limaland’s most popular special events as it honors the memory of Travis “Rabbit” Miller. Miller was unusually enthusiastic about motorsports and left an impression on others that insures this race one of the most popular among the competitors. The 2010 edition brought the Engine Pro NRA Sprint Invaders to the Limaland high-banked ¼ mile and the large crowd enjoyed near perfect conditions for the final day April after and 80 degree day. Veteran Butch Schroeder had won races in his sprint car career, but never before in 360 sprints at Limaland. Benefitting from an outside front row starting position, Schroeder bolted passed pole sitter Darren Long at the start of the 25 lap feature and ultimately never looked back. There were three cautions in the first four laps, although none of which affected Schroeder from his front of the pack position. A red flag was waved after the fourth lap when veteran Jarrod Horstman flipped his orange #17 coming through turn four. It was the second straight week Horstman’s week ended with an incident at that spot on the track. Another caution came on the 9th lap, this time triggered by the Smith Boughan Cool Move of the Race winner from last week, Sheldon Haudenschild. The restart on Lap 9 saw Schroeder ride the cushion and easily hold challenges from Darren Long and defending NRA Sprint Invader champion JR Stewart. A mechanical break sent Long to the pits on lap 15 while heavy smoke was spewing from third-place runner Randy Hannagan’s entry. Eventually Hannagan was finished on the 19th lap with only Stewart and last weeks Limaland division winner Tim Allison trailing Schroeder. Neither driver seriously threatened the yellow #20, and Schroeder went on the capture his first Run for Rabbit, the NRA season opener, the $2,000 prize and his personal first win in 360 sprints at the historic Limaland facility. “I tore up some stuff on the car after I tagged the wall during hot laps and had to change a bunch of stuff on our car,” Schroeder told the crowd after his conquest. “But by the time we turned some screws on the thing it was a rocket. I was flat out around there (Limaland ¼ mile).” Schroeder also reflected on the event’s namesake Travis Miller, “I’m a father with two wonderful girls and a wonderful wife. I hope nothing ever happens to me.” The Budweiser Thunderstock featured looked like it might be Tony Anderson’s for the taking has he took full advantage of an inside row two starting position. A longtime ace in the division, Anderson stormed to the front during the opening lap with pole sitter Zach Bowen the only driver threatening Anderson up front. Caution flags on laps four and five slowed the early race and suddenly a flat right rear tire sent top challenger Zach Bowen to the pit area on lap 8 of the 15 circuit feature. A wild sequence during the 12th lap nearly cost Anderson the lead and subsequent victory. UNOH student Ryan O’ Dette was damaged and drove his car down the banking while heading for the infield. O’ Dette collided with Anderson, causing significant body damage to the right side of the #22 Texas Roadhouse machine. Another caution with two laps remaining set up Anderson to see if he could hold off Jeff Koz and last week’s feature winner Tim Bowen for the race triumph. Neither driver could rattle Anderson as he piloted his damaged machine to his first win of the year and the 26th of his career at Limaland. “We try to put on a good show for the fans, let’s remember that everyone up in the stands works hard for their money and I like to see it spent wisely,” said Anderson. “This year in the stock class the guys are really stepping up as there are five, six, seven drivers that are new factors. I look for a lot of different winners this year.” The K & N Modified 20-lap feature saw former track champion Terry Hull take full advantage of a front row starting slot. The Indiana resident held off challenges from Casey Luedeke and Brian Post for the first eight laps while fellow Hoosier native Todd Sherman was climbing through the field. Another former champ, Sherman moved pass Luedeke and Post by lap 8 and the two Indiana guys moved side-by-side for one of their usual Limaland duels. Sherman was relentless from the top side and eventually passed Hull on the backstretch during lap 14. A later caution flag, triggered by Chris Puskus in turn two nearly allowed Hull to regain the lead, except scoring froze the field when the yellow flew and Sherman held the top position with two laps left. Hull couldn’t pressure Sherman to any degree through the final two circuits and Todd Sherman made it two straight features wins to begin the new season and marked the 19th of his modified career at Limaland. “I’m not getting any younger so I figured I better get in the best shape possible now,” Sherman told the crowed when asked about his obvious weight loss during the off season. “Some of the guys really get up on the wheel, so I needed to do the same. I’ve got more room to move my arms around because my belly is not in the way.” Sherman is respected by competitors for his hard work in preparation. “We probably spent twenty hours on the car this week and that was with no damage, just general maintenance stuff.” Next time out, Limaland Motorsports Park will host the Sunoco American Late Model Series, K & N Modifieds and the Tuff trucks. The Sunoco Late Models are expected to include former Limaland stock and modified champion driver Jeff Babcock. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. with hot laps beginning at 6:30 p.m. Racing starts promptly at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the 22nd Annual Brad Doty Classic, July 14, featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, are on sale now. Wow! Was there a full moon or what? After trying to start the mod feature 4 or 5 times, several cautions, and being penalized for jump starting, Todd was able to hold on to the lead after a caution and rain delay with 2 laps to go. Terry Hull got second. It was a crazy modified race, but was glad the rain held off long enough to get the races in.
Good job to all the Team SE drivers and good luck this racing season.
Casey Ludeke had a great run going until an unexpected break with 2 laps to go ended his night of racing. Better luck next week Casey.
